It's been a long time since I've worked a small court like that. When there is play or a drive in close to the hoop, I found it best to keep wide rather than close down. Taking a couple steps onto the court will give you an angle to see through the play. It also gives you a better panoramic view on rebound activity rather than standing on the endline near the bucket, and possibly getting your own "clock cleaned".
