I had not heard this before, nor can I find it in the books. Heard of T mirroring L's chop in 3-whistle but not 2. It's actually confusing at times, thinking T might be holding up play for a sub or whatnot.

I've thought about doing this in situations where it might be tough for the timer to see the L. I don't believe it's a prescribed mechanic, though.
