I've had one for years. I'd let others use it at tournaments and now about a dozen guys have them in their bags. It's the single best piece of equipment I have purchased and it moves from my basketball bag to my umping bag and even in my volleyball bag. (It's great between matches when you are standing on the tower.)
I have not had any achilles, calf, or shin pain at all since using it.
