Saw a neat documentary on that same subject called "Gamers" There have also been several other documentaries such as The King of Kong: A fistful of quarters Chasing Ghosts: Beyond the Arcade (and gives Ottumwa Iowa props beyond M A S H) and High Score. I am not a video game geek, but I do play one on tv!
IT also sounds like his reasearch was a heck of a lot more interesting than mine!!
