OT - fender bender at game
Last night, a police officer came into the gym between the first and second quarters and made an announcement that there was a fender bender in the parking lot and he was looking for the owner of the vehicle that was hit. He asked if anyone in the gym drove a silver Mercedes. Six people sitting in different areas of the bleachers raised their hands!
I said to my partner, "Uh, not me". He said, "Not me either" and we both chuckled. For you guys in the Portland area, you'll know why no one was surprised at how many raised their hands when I tell you the game was at Lake Oswego HS between teams from LO and Lakeridge. For everyone else, please note Lake Oswego is probably the most affluent town in the Portland metro area and Lakeridge is the other HS in that town. Oh yeah - the officer said the car was hit by a gold Lexus. Big surprise.
BTW - this was a "competitive" 7th grade girls game and the LO team had a girl who was at least 6'4".
