Just got back from visiting with some fellow officials after our games.

One of our new transfers had a story to tell...it happened to him and his partners tonight.

A crew of 3 was doing a boys Frosh game...with 2 minutes left in the 2nd quarter A1 received a T for waving his arms in disgust at an official's call. Coach A pulled A1 and apparently told him to go to the locker room. As A1 was leaving the bench area...he took his shirt off. One of the officials noticed it out of the corner of his eyes...but, it didn't register at the time.

During halftime...the officials decided that A1 should have received a T for removing his shirt.

Upon returning to the court, after halftime, the officials notified Coach A that A1 was going to be issued a Technical foul for removing his shirt. Team B was going to get two shots to start the second half and the ball at the division line. The officials told Coach B they were going to get the ball anyway because they had the arrow.

Coach B stated that he DID NOT want the FT's, because he thought it was an unjust penalty.

The officals said OK...gave his Team B the ball at the division line...and away they went.

The following pointers were given to the crew:

* Too late for the "removing the shirt" T
* Advise Team B, Technical foul FT's must be shot (They are welcome to miss them)
* Team B keeps the arrow, in a real T situation before the start of the 3rd quarter
* Coach gets an indirect T for a player removing his shirt once he is bench personnel
* Player receives 2nd T... (In WA misses next "like" game)
* Be aware that Coach A knows the crew is not sending the player to the locker room

...anything else we could have added or subtracted?
