I don’t know where you are going with this but this is a road that you CANNOT go down. Nowhere in the NF high school rules will you find what a score keeper or a timer MUST wear. Now a state may require a dress code for end of year tournament games. This is because it is more than likely that these people are certified officials, especially as you get closer to the final itself.

Unless there is a state rule to the contrary, during the regular season you will find volunteers doing the books and the clock. You have no right to request what they wear. Now, as I said in a post I made a few weeks back, my association provides timers, for a fee, to schools that request them. This year I did 3 games and the fee/pay was $25 a game. By request of the schools and thus my association I had to wear my stripes. Really, I never took them off after doing the first game of the night. And yes, I did feel like a target in the last quarter of the 3rd game.
