At the University of Illinois this Spring, a conference weekend crew using the faculty lockerroom (big, secure, new, showers, lockers, NICE) came in after a rainy night and basically left the room a muddy mess. The rest of the year umpires were relegated to a public lockerroom in the tennis building farther from the field. All they had to do was take off their shoes before they went in the room - show a little respect for the facility. One step forward, two steps back. An upire lockerroom won't be in the U of I plans in the near future.
PS That crew was reprimanded. And the rest of us were punished, too...
