Just got confirmation today that a local restaurant is going to donate 5% of it's sales from one night a week from January until the second week in March to our local kids rec league. The money will go into our scholarship fund and is targeted to purchase equipment such as shoes and shorts for kids in our program who are from low income families.
I facilitate this program and I'm really looking forward to it. We do have an estimate as to the amount we will receive and it's plenty to buy these items.
All the restaurant wants in return is for us to put up banners at two of our gyms on Saturdays during the season and to let all the parents know about the program. Not a problem at all.
