If called as you wish (and I agree with your general point), Romar would have been DQ'd more than once in just one game. There was on incident where Romar would have made a baseball manager proud with the way he was barking in the face of TWO officials at the same time. The only thing missing was a little dirt to kick on their shoes.

Coach Romar is usually pretty calm. But he is quite bright. When he feels that officials are being intimidated by an opposing coach who is being a tyrant, he will sometimes bark a little too so that the officials know that there are two coaches on the sidelines.
