B-Var, 2-person, end of the 2nd period.
I'm lead and have some rebound action. Smaller B2 trying to box out larger, taller A2. A2 plucks the rebound from above B2 -- legally -- and then B2, still in 'box out' position, grabs A2 as he attempts a quick putback at the horn.
All of this occurs in front of Team B coach, and I give him a drive-by explanation that the rebound was legal, and no, he did not go 'over the back'.
Anyway, short story long, A2 shooting 2 with the lane cleared, partner administering the throws, I'm near the table. Team A coach asks me, "don't they have to stay on the court?" Glance over and Team B is heading over to a corner of the gym for halftime chat. No vibe of unsporting, they just thought the half was over for them.
I took no action, as 2nd throw was being released.
Case play 10.5.5 Sit A covers the play.
I was unprepared to anticipate/prevent, and let it occur.
And yes, the worst part was the coach knowing the rule and not me.
