We are planning on a two-day, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm school, also spending time on the field with some drills and, hopefully, some live scrimmage play.
Just a suggestion, if you have time to acquire it and a way to view it, the ASA mechanics DVD is a good tool for new umpires.

Also, now would be the time to stress the importance of early game arrival and pre game umpire conferences. One of my biggest peeves is not seeing my partner until 15 minutes or less before game time!
