Ok, thank you. I'm not real experienced, so I just wanted to know what the accepted application of the rule is.
The reason I ask is that when I was being observed when I just got started a couple years ago, I was the R2 and the coach requested a 3rd time-out. My basketball training kicked in and I just said, "You don't have any more, Coach". I did this right in front of the observer. The coach said something like, "That's the way it should be done," and the observer said nothing about the situation.
But now I will do it the right way. Thank you for the feedback.
