A lot of this depends on your experience level and that of your partner. But generally:
1) No. If your partner has the best look at what matters, go with his call.
2) Yes, if you saw it.
3) Absolutely - you should have talked the play through, agreed on what you guys saw, and made the right call from there.
4) Heck no - if he wants to go talk to partner, he can call time and do just that. Don't ever guess at partner's motives for a call - let him explain for himself.
5) Not that I can tell.
