[/B][/QUOTE]Coach,I remember vaguely when they changed this one.To my best recollection,the way that it was handled 40 years ago,39 years ago,and yesterday still depends on the age of the player and the game situation.We may stop the game while play is going on for the little ones,if there is no impending scoring opportunity or turnover.We do give players the opportunity to do up their shoes,or put them back on,if there is a dead ball.Other areas may do it differently,but we don't look at holding up the game for a coupla seconds to tie shoelaces to be a major concern.
