Do any of you guys practice this? Why or why not?

Josh,
My coaches don't wanna do it.

Neither do ours, but it's required by the state. [/B]
I am working in Monterey, CA for a couple of weeks and decided to watch some of the local schools/officials. Watched a F/JV/V triple last night. Same 2 officials did the F/JV games and in both games, they had the coaches and captains meet with them right in front of the table. Must have been a heck of a meeting because in both games, it took about 4 minutes. Could not believe it. BTW, 1 of the 2 officials was the worst I have ever seen -- absolutely no communication with his partner and no clue as to what signals he was using or decided not to use. This guy called a T with 12 seconds left in the JV game (visiting player slammed the ball down) and as he was walking to the table to report it, he said out loud, "I changed my mind and there is no T", walked back to his position, and put the ball in play. Was talking to the other official before the varsity game and asked him if his partner was brand new. He said no, the guy has been officiating for 5 years!
