If you have a Mac (not you specifically, but for everyone), Java is delivered by Apple through the Software Update facility. Do not download anything from the Java page linked here. Interestingly enough, the page told me I had the wrong version and wanted me to download -- the thing that told me it wasn't right was the fact that the download link says "for Windows."
