Did you know? ASA Height
ASA was originally 3' from release to 10' maximum height. It was this way until the mid-70's when they went to an unlimited arc . After a year or so of complaining, ASA moved to revert back to a more hittable pitch.
However, USSSA had already entered the market (1968, it think) and had used the same rule as the original in ASA. Apparently, ASA wanted to come back to something different, so they went to the 6-12 arch where it has been until now.
