Murray State/Vanderbilt play

Late in the second half, Vanderbilt scores with literally exactly 1:00 showing on the clock.

The clock ran down to 57 and change before one of the officials stopped it, thinking the clock should have stopped on the basket.

They went to the monitor, and ultimately decided to leave the clock where it was.

NCAA 5-10-10 says that the clock shall stop when a goal is scored in the last 59.9 seconds of the second half. Even though the goal was scored before that point, should the clock have stopped when it got to 59.9?
