Before, half-time, and after. Never during.
I usually go with water, but go with one of the "ade" type drinks if I have more than two or three games.....
I haven't felt a need to hydrate during the game. I guess it would just feel weird. But, if I felt I was getting into trouble for some reason I would probably go to the side during a timeout.....it's never come up yet and I really have never seen it.
