And that's what we had. Ugh. And I should have yielded.

We figured out afterwards that we must have whistled at exactly the same time and neither of us heard the other. I didn't see him until I was done selling a block, and he didn't see me at all until I walked toward him and said "we've got an issue."

Coaches were frustrated, fans were confused, etc.

I'm frustrated for two reasons - one, I'm BIG on communication and handling double-whistles appropriately. I was T, this was in the middle of the lane going away from me. I should have expected him to come with a call. Secondly, it really put a "mark" on a tough game that we otherwise handled very well.

Good learning experience - don't let the emotion of the game and the desire to 'sell' a call speed you up.

It was also the last game of the season for me. I may be able to pick up a make-up game next week...and I hope so because I don't want to end the season with that one!
