A nervous silence cuts through the gym for 20-30 seconds as the PA guy scrambles to find the problem. As the crowd rumbles with wonder, my 2 partners and I look at each other, take 1 step forward,and begin, loudly, " I pledge allegiance, to the flag...." The crowd joins in without missing a beat.
