That's what I thought. I was explaining it to the program director that what happened is similar as if the ball was above the head for a jumpshot, get's blocked and the player catches the ball. Ball wasn't really released yet by the shooter for the shot, but it was just knocked loose enough IMO to be considered a loose ball.
