where the player with the ball goes flying one direction after a somewhat violent collision with a defender who bounces another direction, and the ball goes rolling off a third direction, and there's no whistle,I sometimes say (never yell) to the referee when he gets hear me, "We usually get a first down for that." I usually get a puzzled look too, though sometimes a smile.

I like your, "ICING," that's good. Another one you might try; jump up, land in a crouch, throw your arms out to the side palms down, and say with emphasis, "SAFE!"
