I just think it's funny that you have two words that mean exactly the same thing, and one of the words contains the entirety of the other word. "Reiterate" is totally superfluous. It's like saying you got a "free gift". Of course it was free; that's part of what "gift" means. So the word "free" serves no purpose in the phrase. The "re-" prefix in "reiterate" serves no purpose at all; let alone its usual purpose. It's just struck me funny ever since I realized the two definitions.
