The sonic is loud but the four chamber design requires more air flow to match the volume of the classic 40 (2 chamber).
I like to use the sonic is rec / middle school games then when I switch to the classic for HS games I have a really loud whistle.

Close.. I believe the Pearl is 2-chamber. The Classic is 3-chamber.
