By most accounts, Roget was an extremely annoying guy to know.

Example:

You: "Goodbye, Roget."

Roget: "Goodbye, farewell, ciao, cheerio, adieu, adios, so long, god-speed, bye-bye, ta-ta, toodle-do ... "

You: "SHUT THE F*** UP!"
