As for the topic: I think a five-foot stroll, a brief yawn, and a barely functional lifting of the semi-closed fist while completing the stroll is more than sufficient. I think that if more umpires emulated Joe West, this umpiring would be a lot easier for everyone.
But until they do, I guess I'll keep busting my @ss and looking like I care.
