Legal play!
When the airbourne PLAYER batted the football, such PLAYER, by NFHS definition,
is not out of bounds as per:
NFHS 2-29-1.
Therefore, by rule, this play is legal as the ball did not touch anything that
is out of bounds as per
NFHS 2-29-3.
