He is becoming my favorite all time analyst. Rex sees everything. He is also the most fun guy to listen to that I can even remember. (Mike Krukow is fairly close there.) Rex knows the game so all them struggles with English is forgivable.
Greatest Rex gaffe: He is interviewing then No.1 pick Trevor Bell live during the game the night the Angels drafted the kid. Rex gushes about how the kid's grandfather was the original Bozo the Clown: "I heard your grandpa's the original Bozo the Clown!! ... How's he doing?"
Bell: "Uh, he passed away several years ago."
Rex: "Oh wow, my bad."
