At the last ASA/NAFA Mens Tourney I worked, we werent enforcing even crow hop. Many crow hops and even more than a couple of pitchers would take a step off (crow hop #1) then a huge bounding crowhop (#2)
A few would complain "hey blue, aint you supposed to keep them in the circle?"
But was actually was a relatively few complaints. They just want to play and we let them.
Mens FP is dying and I hope the orgs do as much as possible to keep it alive, because IMO, its the best of the sport.
Its hard to get umps to work it because it pays the same as JO Ball, the BS, and the games are longer. I still do it though; I like to support my sport. That tourney it cost me money because I could have made more working JO Ball.
