You are right, I did miss the point. Because I really do not see what calling traveling in itself has to do with coach's complaining? I really think traveling is called because it is not easy to always call and people call things because it looks funny. I really do not think it is much more complicated than that. I see obvious travels called and obvious travels missed. I do not think it has much to do with what coaches or fans say at all. It comes down to the ability of the officials to have judgment just like most fouls that are called in a game.
