First foot to contact the floor after/while catching the ball IS effectively the pivot foot. The next foot/feet that touches the floor can NOT be the pivot.
I think of the jump stop as if the 2-footed landing is really a single large foot....as if they had just landed on one and stepped to this new large second foot.
