Who cares if teams/coaches see you "warming up?" It's stupid to be concerned of such a thing. If you want to warm up 2-3 minutes before tip-off, then do it. Our health is important and if I could use a stretch/run for 60 seconds, then I do it.
Edit: reminds me of when I went to camp and I was told if I need to reset the clock, to always put up an odd number of seconds. Complete pile of cow patties. I put up what I know.
