The only NBA "mechanics" that are used is the NBA three-person rotation. All other mechanics are your choice.
If you wish to report numbers with one hand, fine.
If you want to birddog, fine.
The main thing they are concerned about is putting you in the right position to make the proper call.
Also,
if you want to be prepared, tape an NBA game and break down the rotation.
