Merry Christmas

Happy Chanukkah to all my fellow officials

1) I assume that we are discussing an exam published by the NFHS.

2) The OhioHSAA uses the NFHS Basketball Rules Exam I (both Rules and Mechanics exams) for its final exam to pass the mandatory officiating class to become a Class 2 basketball official. These exams are given as an open book exams (I don't know why it is given as an open book exam; it is my opinion it should be a closed book exam but that is the subject of another discussion).

3) The OhioHSAA uses the NFHS Basketball Rules Exam II (both Rules and Mechanics exams) for its final exam to pass the mandatory Class 2 to Class 1 exam. This exam is given as a closed book exam.

4) Even though the OhioHSAA is a 100% member of the NFHS National Officials Association, because of Items 1 and 2 above, OhioHSAA registered officials are denied access by the NFHS to these exams which are also posted online.

Therefore if somebody would like to post Question #38, I will gladly bloviate about it.
