Correct -- assuming the "pass attempt" hit the floor first, and that A1 released the pass while his / her pivot foot was still on the floor.

IF the pivot foot was off the floor, then it became an illegal dribble.

If the pass was still in the air when A1 retrieved it (not likely), then it's a travelling violation on A1 (assuming A1 moved his pivot foot to re-catch the ball)
