I happened to come acorss this rule last week preparing for a soccer tournament and it made me wonder if the NFHS has a similar provision in its rules.
At the HS level it is up to each individual state association to set the regulations for its post-season tournaments. However, there is a suggestion in the back of the book, which can be adopted and used as is, or modified and used, or ignored entirely.

3. g. Add one goal to the winning team score and credit the team with a victory. An Asterisk (*) may be placed by the team advancing to indicate the advancement was the result of a tie breaker system.
