I would recommend you try "Calling The Shots" by Earl Strom. Besides being, IMO, the best book ever written about basketball officiating, he does cover the importance of communication between officials and also communication with coaches and players. Also, the photos are great, especially the one of Earl sitting on a stool smoking a stogie in the locker room after a game.
