The Portland Baseball Umpires Association is considering, for the first time ever, to NOT include the 2009 Rules Book in our mandatory registration packets. This will lower the cost to our umpires by $7.95.
We will buy a few books and pass out any "unpublished" changes that have occurred.
We are also considering not forcing purchase of the 2009 Case Book either.
We will, of course, supply Rules and Case Books to all new umpires and anyone that wants to purchase them individually.
