Juulie, it's actually worse than that. With the new ABC/ESPN contract, the first round will be expanded to a best-of-seven format.
Since I'm a Boston guy, I have to agree with Larry Legend. Make it only the top 4 teams (instead of the top 8) in each conference and have all the series be best-of-seven.
