Just a rant on fans and announcers

Mark May of ESPN was on the local sports talk radio show yesterday still complaining about the (absolutely correct) unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Washington last Saturday.

I called in, told the clowns on the air that the call was absolutely correct, you call it regardless of the time left in the game, the official would probably been in more trouble if he hadn't called it since it is a point of emphasis this year. I also stated that in the history of sports, an official has never determined the outcome of a game. Officials don't make things up - they judge the players actions and act accordingly. Boy, did I get beat up for that comment. Most of the idiots out there have no clue, I know..no big news flash there.

The host asked me what percentage of officials out there would have thrown that flag and called that penalty against Washington. I replied that 100% of the good ones would.

I don't know why I continue to bang my head against the wall......
