Smile Goal line.

In our association we follow these mechanics:
1.A's ball on or within B's 5 yard line: HL and LJ break for goal line on the snap and then officiate back to the ball. SJ and FJ line up and cover end line (6 man crew).
2.A's ball on or within A's 5 yard line: HL and LJ break for the goal line on the snap and then officiate back to the ball. SJ and FJ line up 17 to 20 yards downfield depending on A's formation (6 man crew).
3. A's ball more than 5 yards to go to B's end zone: SJ and FJ are responsible for and line up on the goal line (6 man crew), HL and LJ stop at the 2 yard line when following play; let SJ and FJ cover goal line unless there is a passing play and the SJ and FJ have to cover the end line; then the HL and LJ would cover the goal line.
4. Only covering officials (HL, LJ, BJ, FJ, and SJ) should signal touchdown and only if they see it. Other officials should not mirror touchdown signal. U can give one of the wings a subtle "thumbs-up" signal to communicate that the ball is in possession of the runner in the end zone (useful for dives or sneaks through the middle when the U may have a better view).
5. Good points about holding your whistles. See the ball first.
6. Review and study the rules regarding force.
7. Be alert.
