We have the option to go to the game in uniform, but unless the game is 10 miles from home or less, who would want to? One of the biggest reasons I hate doing local games is too many guys run off the field and head home. (Our checks are not paid at the field, so that's not an issue)
I much prefer travelling to a game as a group, dressing there while catching up, bs'ing and the like, then getting down to business with a serious pregame in a lockerroom or office.
Afterward a shower, change back to decent clothes and, dependng on several factors, a meal as a crew. All that is part of the night and part of the reason I do this.
