Was curious about the bottom half of the 7th inning of the LL Big League Championship game between South Carolina and Puerto Rico on ESPN yesterday.
PR was up 4-0 going into the bottom half-inning. South Carolina won the game. The umpires handled things the way they were trained, without the benefit of instant replay.
Plate Ump
1) Handling upset pitcher disapproval.
2) Handling post-collision at the plate.
Base Ump
1) Possible 4-6 force out ruled safe .
2) Possible interference by runner on F4.
A great half inning to discuss handling those big game, high pressure situations that pop up. Perhaps someone can post "youtube" video of the half-inning for those who missed it.
