I remember several years ago, I was at the Western States Combine clinic down in LA. We were at Loyola Marymount College and there were bad fires in the LA basin. So bad that smoke was coming in the windows of our class room and flights out of LAX were cancelled because of poor visibility. So our SOCAL brother's know about fires as well.
