When I first read this, it reminded me of my time in the panhandle of FL and all the BS politics in Santa Rosa and Escambia counties back in the 70's.
Larry may be able to relate. When I lived there, the only thing in his town was a roadside picnic area off of US 90 (with a swimming hole occasionally visited in the dark of night), but he is right
