Like Mowatt last week, Tinscher was called illegal once early and not again even though there is an obvious step which, in spite of the coach's assertions, has not been corrected.

I understand that certain things are "let go" and I don't have a problem with that. However, if you are going to call an act by the pitcher illegal once, it should be called the entire game.

IOW, if it is going to be overlooked, by design or not, don't call it at all. I think it would be embarassing to the umpire crew to call it onced as if to show the public they are paying attention and then let it go the remainder of the game.
As I've said often on the various boards. Illegal pitches, call the early, call them when seen, and make them stop.
