For those that are bashing USSSA, apparently you do not call U-trip and do not have a rulebook. There is almost no difference between USSSA and NFHS books, and thus only minor differences between USSSA and ASA. (Unless you consider the approved bat lists for USSSA a major difference!)
Now, if you are talking USFA - (Please stop snickering!) - their rulebook is a joke. You cannot seriously call a competitive tournament game using just their book. But they know it; they tell their umpires to use their NFHS or ASA experience and knowledge to make the calls.
