Good calls guys, no other way to do it with single runner.
I have had partners ask me if I would mind covering 3rd in
this situation. Usually his reason is not too good. Bum
knee or sore ankle! Now by me taking 3rd as PU, he has to
turn and twist to come to plate in event something should
happen. Always seemed to me it would be easier on him to go
on with runner.
